Community Day

Saturday 13 July from 11am to 3pm

We are holding a Cell Barnes Community Day on Saturday 13 July - join us and other members of the community for a great day for all ages.  Everything is free.

Fire EngineOur theme for the day is Safety in the Community, so we plan to have a visit from a fire engine and a police car.  There will be some information about fire safety and neighbourhood security. We are also running some 1 hour Essential First Aid training courses on the day.  If you would like to attend one of these, there is more information at the bottom of this page.

Ice CreamOther activities we are organising include:  a bouncy castle, children's craft, face painting and Xbox games on the big screen.  Outside we will be having a barbecue and ice-creams.  Please feel free to drop in for as much of the day as you want.  We don't mind if you live on the Cell Barnes estate or come from further away - anyone is welcome.

We are really happy to have the support of the local Cell Barnes businesses for our Community Day.  Our special thanks to the Co-op who have sponsored the food for the event.

First Aid Courses

First AidWe are running mini-courses at the following times:

11:00 - 12:00
12:15 - 13:15
14:00 - 15:00

The courses are free but spaces are limited - however, there are still plenty of spaces left!  If you would like to be sure of attending a particular session, please send us an email to book your place.  We just need to know your name(s), which session you would like to attend, and if you have a preference between general First Aid and infant/child First Aid.  If you prefer to just turn up on the day and see if there is room, that would also be great.

The courses will be run by a St Albans based firm, IPS Training.
