THE LORD'S SUPPER
"...he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me."
The Bible, Luke 22:19
Every Sunday, we focus on Jesus Christ at the Lord's Supper. We remember His life, death, resurrection and His promised return. This is sometimes called the Breaking of Bread or Communion.
Most weeks the Lord's Supper is at 10:15am on a Sunday morning and is separate from our Morning Service. We have a time of worship and reflection, and a 10-15 message relating to Jesus Christ or an open time of praise focussed on Christ. Then the bread and wine are shared, with a choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic wine.
Anyone is welcome to attend the service. We ask that only committed Christians whose lifestyle is consistent with faith in Christ take the bread and wine and participate publicly.
Usually, on the first Sunday of the month we have our Lord's Supper after a meal together at lunchtime. We encourage conversation about Christ during the meal, but don't feel under pressure to contribute. You'd be welcome to just come along and get to know people in a relaxed way.
